Laura Jennings

Communication and Campaigns Manager

Laura joined Childnet in June 2011 working part-time as the Despatch Officer whilst also managing her own business as a freelance Copywriter and PR Manager within the UK’s arts and cultural sector.  With a background in theatre and live art, Laura has been lucky enough to have worked with some of the most creative and inspirational minds within the arts world including Arts & Business, the BBC, conceptual lighting studio, Creatmosphere and The National Theatre. In 2014 Laura was appointed the Communications Officer at Childnet and has since become the Communication and Campaigns Manager.  Since 2014 she has been involved in Safer Internet Day 2014, 2015 and 2016, most notably, developing the digital communications strategy for Safer Internet Day 2016 which reached hundreds of millions of people across the UK.  Laura also led on developing Childnet's 20th Anniversary Report, which was launched in October 2015 to mark Childnet's 20th anniversary.
