Hannah joined Childnet in 2011 and leads on the charity's communications, campaigns, policy, research, evaluation and fundraising activities. She plays a key role in Childnet's work as one of three charities in the UK Safer Internet Centre, and she coordinates the Safer Internet Day campaign which reached 40% of UK youth in 2016. Hannah also contributes to Childnet's education and youth participation projects, helping to launch the Childnet Digital Leaders Programme and coordinating Childnet’s Youth IGF Project for several years. Hannah sits on Facebook’s Safety Advisory Board and the Evidence Group of the UK Council for Child Internet Safety, and regularly speaks in the media and at national and international events. Outside of Childnet, Hannah is the Chair of Trustees for a local volunteering charity, the Volunteer Centre Hackney. Hannah has wide experience in working with young people, having worked in both education and charity settings, and as a trained youth worker. Hannah holds a first class degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, where she worked as a Research Assistant and conducted research with young people.
